First ride in winter mode

Ok, today I did my first ride in winter mode. This is - riding in short spandex trousers in the "Chamber of torture" for about 50 minutes my race bike. This is no fun. So I was preparing my self with my laptop, WIFI and headphones. Completely prepared (looking at some youtube videos about bike messengers for motivation) I started pedaling...

At the end - around 538 kcal burned. Well this was the last number I have seen, before I dumped the data on my garmin device by not saving the trip. Instead of "Save" I pressed "Discard". I think because my fingers were jittering. The plan is to have these extra 500kcal burned per day by riding, jogging or whatever for about 2 weeks. Then going to around 1000kcal extra per day. Goal is to loose weight and get fit over the winter for snowboarding and everything else.
